Darling
(1965) Julie Christie plays a self-centered, self-serving, social climbing model, who uses everyone and in the end has her just desserts. Dirk is compelling as Robert Gold, a TV journalist and the one boyfriend who really cares for her. She forsakes him for the gold-plated Miles (Laurence Harvey). The role earned Dirk his second BAFTA.
