Song
Without End (1960) Finally Dirk answered the siren call from Hollywood, but in a role that did not showcase his talent. At a time when edgy young stars were breaking through in contemporary dramas, he was obliged to don tight pants and frilly shirt to portray a permed Franz Liszt. After gruelling tuition at the piano he gave a decent performance, but it was a role he came to ridicule for its poor script and character limitations. Having to work opposite Capucine, a beautiful but wooden leading lady, did not help.
