The
Singer Not the Song (1961) In final picture under contract to Rank, Dirk plays Anacleto, who rules a Mexican village with his gang and an iron fist. A new priest, Father Keogh (John Mills), is given a hard time. Despite moderately interesting debates between the two characters on theology, there is no saving grace. Unhappy with the casting and production, Dirk turns in a performance in black leather that gives this film a cult following.
